Carrie was born and raised in the heart of the Texas Panhandle. Being the tomboy of the family, she was always involved in sports and performing dare-devil stunts. Shortly after September 11th, Carrie enlisted in the US Army; and after graduating from Basic Training, she was assigned to her first duty station in South Korea. There, she got her first taste of riding a snowboard.
At her next duty station in the United States, she learned to ride by taking lessons and joined a ski school located on the military base. After the Army, she began riding more often and travelling to other areas in the Northeast.
Carrie got her first sponsorship with Slap Energy Drinks. She still proudly rides for them today along with other sponsors. She continues to pursue a career as a professional snowboarder despite all odds and while maintaining a job, attending college and enjoying the thrills of motherhood.
